At Missfit Press, we want to provide an affordable option for everyday people to share their story. As first time authors and misfits in the business world, we built our platform from the ground up & want to provide the same opportunity for others to share their stories with the world. Whether you need editing, formatting or the whole package, we customize our services to meet your needs and provide a positive and interactive publishing experience.
Meet the Team
To further inspire joy and positivity, Jean and Jaime wrote a collaborative book called Everyday Girl Adventures, a collection of everyday women’s adventure stories. However, they quickly discovered that the price of traditional publishing is inaccessible for everyday people and began looking at alternative options to get their book out there. With Jean’s creativity and Jaime’s English background, the two minds came together and learned how to publish their book from the ground up.
Jean Walton is an entrepreneur in Southern Colorado. Her business, Everyday Girl Adventures, creates unique events in her community that bring women together to experience fun with lasting memories. She is also the founder of MissFit Networking—Where Every ‘Miss’ Fits, providing a welcoming environment for female entrepreneurs to network, showcase their businesses, and form genuine connections with other women.
Jaime Obertubbesing is a 1st grade teacher by day, Everyday Adventure Girl by night. She has joined as a partner in Jean’s ventures and together they work to spread fun throughout the community.
From there, Jean and Jaime founded Missfit Press, a welcoming and affordable platform for people to share their stories. Everyone has a story, and Jean and Jaime believe it should be attainable for them to share it. Through Missfit Press, their mission is to make publishing accessible, affordable, and fun for everyday people. Their passion, drive and genuine connection to their authors provides an experience that sets them apart in the publishing industry.
